Apple G3 Computer, Thrown Off A Cliff!
Posted on May 8th, 2012 24 commentsThe G3 Impact Test! — We found an old Macintosh G3 Computer that one of the Emerson College computer labs were throwing out – so we took it home, and scavenged it for parts. The motherboard was broken, the PSU at least 8 years old, and the RAM and HDDs had already been removed. With no useful parts to be found, the next logical step was to get rid of the rest of it! There is a 45 foot cliff in Nahant, MA that seemed like the best way to do this. We recorded video with two low-quality digital cameras, and took still photos as well. Afterwards, we cleaned up all of the pieces, and disposed of them properly – so as not to pollute the beautiful waters of the North Shore… which were a good 15-20 feet from the impact site. It was a fun afternoon. ~~ Jogwheel Originals ~~ Original sketches, short films, parodies, music videos, documentaries, stunts, pranks and other fun projects from the Jogwheel Productions team. How To Upgrade Or Install Memory In Apple Macbook Pro
Posted on May 5th, 2012 No comments
It’s very easy to upgrade ram / memory in Apple’s Macbook or Macbook Pro. You do not have to purchase special memory sticks from Apple. Here I am installing two 4GB sticks made by Kingston. All you need is a small screwdriver and your new memory. This is on a mid 2010 model Macbook Pro which uses PC3-8500 DDR3 1066 MHz type RAM. 1. Turn computer off 2. Turn computer upside down 3. Remove screws around outter edges 4. Ground yourself to something metal or the frame of the laptop 5. Release clips holding memory in place and pull out old memory 6. Slide in new memory sticks one at a time and press down until each one clicks 7. Replace bottom of computer and all screws 8. Turn on your Mac
